It's the Great Pumpkin!

We took a family trip to the pumpkin patch at Suburban Lawn & Garden...now THAT's the place to go! First they gave us popcorn to snack on, then we got to take a hayride out to the pumpkin patch! It was so exciting...as soon as we got out, I had to go potty, so we got to get right back on the hayride and go up to the building. Mommy & Daddy loved that part. THEN we all rode in a golf cart BACK to the pumpkins...Kai just kept saying "Ride! Ride!" it was right up his alley!

We painted our pumpkins with lots of beautiful craft paints. Mine had a butterfly and rainbow on it. Mommy didn't take pictures, though. I think it had something to do with Kai picking up my 'wet paint' (that doesn't come out) pumpkin after she just cleaned him up and took off his paint shirt. She got over it though...I think. Happy Fall Y'All! Elena

Boo! It's Halloween Fun!

We went to a scary Halloween party at our friends' house this year. It was funny because Mommy & Daddy dressed up too. Oh, that's right, they always dress up for Halloween...maybe THEY are silly rabbits!

One Rootin' tootin' cute Farmer Kai:

Wolverine? That's pretty good Daddy...were you really Logan in the movie?

Mommy from '92, her friend Maria the Gypsy and Marcola the vamptress:

It took me all of three seconds to decide I wanted to dress up like a beautiful princess, five seconds total to decide Cinderella was the one! My favorite line? "It's like a wonderful dream come true!"

The whole crew! It was a fun party, thanks Como's!

Now, the actual night of Halloween, it was brrrrr, "bootie Ma'mer" cold! Mommy bundled us up good and we trick-or-treated our whole block. No junky, funky candy in orange and black wrappers around here...each house offered a smorgasboard of chocolate--full size Hershey bars, Kit Kats, Snickers, bags of goodies and LOTS of M&M's (our favorite!). When Mommy commented today that I sure got some good candy, I just told her the flat out reason--"Well, I'm a good trick-or-treater!". What was she thinking? Like they would give ME licorice!?

So, did I mention I even had a princess fur coat? Kai wanted to wear his Safari hat but it didn't even go...I think that's why he's looking a little bewildered in the last picture...he thought Safari Farmer was just fine! Until next time...boo!

Summertime, summertime...

Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime! Whooo-wheee, we just love summer! Mom is keeping us busy with fun stuff to do every week. It's hard to say what my favorite thing has been...maybe everything.

We went blueberry picking with friends from church. I made a super-yummy pie, just like Little Bear does with his Mother Bear after he picks berries. Kai kinda liked to eat 'em straight from the bush.

Daddy has been refurbishing our playground, so we went to Lowe's for some new swings and such. They have the most awesome car-ts! We drive really well, especially when Mommy spins doughnuts in the wide open isles.

Lately I have been wanting a puppy....well, my friend Maddie just got TWO! Her mommy says we can visit them anytime...I love it, but, as with most dogs, I like their backsides better than their faces. I just don't like doggie licks!

I went to Fairytale Princess Dance Camp for a week the end of June. It was fabulous! I got to learn a different princess dance each night and then had my first recital.

This is a picture from the Cinderella routine. Don't you just love my gown? (Thanks Grandma J.) When I wear it around the house, I like to twirl and say "It's like a wonderful dream come true!"--just like Cinderella herself!

Deanna Rose is the "Farm Zoo" and we've gone a few times this summer. My new fav is feeding the baby goats a bottle...I make them take turns and tell the big ones they've had enough!

Kai has no fear so the slides are right up his alley!

This is Sadie the horse. I have to hold on real tight with both hands, but she still just walks around a path. It would be so much more exciting if the horseys would take off in a gallop!

Hope you all are having a fun summer too! You can say hi by clicking the "# comments" button under this post. I love to hear from friends! See ya soon.

Adventures in Painting!

Today Mom let us paint together for the first time, what a great idea!
Painting is one of my favorite arts...and Kai is starting to like it too as you will see...

Okay, here we go Kai, dip the brush in the water, then the paint and go for it!

Oh no! Not on your face Goofy!

Midway through we had a little tiff and had to take a time out, doggone it, life is rough.

In the end we were very proud of our duet! What a masterpiece!

Now I'm Fff-reeee!

My birthday was sooooo fun! I'll tell you all about it in these pictures.

Licking the cake was my favorite pastime during the two parties...whenever I thought no one was looking I had my fingers covered in pink icing!

Mom and Dad set up the dining room to look like the dining hall of a castle decked out for a ball! Mommy MAY have gone a little overboard with the throne for me and the 25 yards of tulling, but I sure loved it!!!

My brother was there offering up lots of giggles...he really wanted to eat my cake too! What a silly rabbit!

At my "friend" party, the first thing we did was decorate princess party hats with big jewels...we were really good at gluing! I had nine friends come dressed up in their favorite princess dresses. We had Cinderellas, Snow White, fairy princesses...all so pretty! I wore 4 different dresses by the time everything was done...what fun to play dress up!

Then we read "The Frog Prince" and played "Kiss the Frog". Here is Naomi getting a spin in her pretty party dress!

And here I am 'kissing' the froggie...I didn't like wearing the blindfold though! Aunt Chrissy won the game Friday and my friend Tori won on Saturday.

A table full of beautiful princesses! We got to drink pink princess punch out of our very own sparkly goblets.

Here's a shot of the "Party Queens", Aunt Jodi and Mommy. They made sure everybody, even grandmas and grandpas, got a chance to kiss the frog!

I really wanted a green computer for my birthday, but I think I'm happy with the mounds of other goodies everyone was so kind to give me. Right now, my favorite gift has been my Bathtime Ariel doll. I ask Mom to blowdry her hair every night after bath, but I think she's done with that. Guess I'll deal with it. *sigh* What fun it was to open everything!

This is as close as Mom could get to having a group picture of all the princesses (I think Naomi is missing in this one). That's me on the far right with the cool shades. We were all playing in my basement with my kitchen and other toys. It's so fun to have such good friends!

Hope you enjoyed my virtual Birthday tour! I've already asked when my next Birthday is...hmmmm...what kind of party should I have? Luv, Elena

Refridgerator Raiders!

Hmmm...Mom isn't exactly energy-conscience when it comes to the refridgerator. Leaving it open just seems easier than opening and closing it 15 times while trying to make dinner...so we have become quite the experts on condiments! Kai was caught on film last night and this is a picture of me from a couple summers ago.

Curious George

On Sunday we had our first visit to a theatre to see a movie just for us!

It was actually part of my birthday present...just a little early.
I love reading Curious George books and sat through the whole
movie except for one potty break---I was drinking lots of yummy
"wrinkle nose" (that's what we call pop)! The popcorn was great too.
Kai had more fun walking up and down the theatre steps with Mom
than sitting in his booster seat. But I think he liked parts of it.

My favorite part was when George put all the paint in the lady's
bubble bath...he's so silly! Love, Elena

Two times the trouble!

We love helping do laundry! This is the best part...a ride please Mom!

A super "CHEESE!"

Just playin' around...

This Little Piggy...

What can we say? Kai boy just loves his food!

Mmmmmm...first taste of strawberries with cool whip! I bet Mom's gonna make me take a bath to get all of it out of my hair.

Not sure what this was...but it was sure yummy!

Kai's First Birthday!

I was pretty excited about my Winnie the Pooh cake that Mommy made!

Princesses Elena and Naomi came to celebrate decked out in some sparkly digs!

I had been waiting a looong time to get some of that cake! Do you think I could have mashed it in my face any faster?

I even got some balloons! They have been so fun!

Then there were lots of PRESENTS---Yay! I love boxes and paper!

See Grandma J, I love my puppy!

All my cousins (well, I only have 2) had fun playing too! Me and Naomi took turns riding in my block wagon.

This is Zaritha, my cute baby cousin and her mommy, Aunt Kimmy! My mommy says Zaritha is just squeezable! She loves babies.
